Often, when I work with kids who are struggling in grades 2 or 3, we have to go back to the basics of learning sounds.⁣
There are times when these steps are missed and there’s absolutely no hard in going “backwards”. It’s not a race, it’s the journey 💗. ⁣

🌟 Breaking up sentences is a sure way to know that kids are reading each individual word.
🌟 When they put the sentences back in order they are understanding what they’re reading (helps comprehension) !

Sometimes adulting is hard. It’s tiring. It’s overwhelming. As a kid, I skated 6 days a week and LOVED it. I’ve been missing it SO much. 4 kids later + Covid+ life, it’s not easy to find time! Today, I made it happen and damnnnn did it feel good! ⁣
